My Story

I’m taking part in this walk in memory of my mother-in-law, Teresa, who passed away in December 2025 after a two-year battle with cancer.

Teresa was a wonderful woman and a very proud “Uh Oh Nanny” to her grandchildren (my son and Nephew), who absolutely adored her. She loved them deeply, and they loved her right back. She was a huge part of our family, and she’s missed every day.

Teresa spent her final days at Heart of Kent Hospice, where the care she received was truly incredible. The team there not only supported her, but also helped everyone through an incredibly difficult time. The work they do is amazing, and difficult to truly express.

That’s why I’m doing this walk, to help support the amazing work the hospice does for other families going through the same thing.
